Henry Joseph C****

July 30th, 2009
7lbs, 5oz

My labor was a total of 2 hours, and it was the first time I've had a natural, drug free birth!!! Totally awesome! Henry is so sweet and so content - just a happy little guy so far!

Hunter, Grace and Sean have welcomed their little brother with open arms.

I had my tubes tied the day after Henry was born, which I'm sad about but I think was the right decision.

34.5 weeks [Jul. 1st, 2009|12:05 pm]
It's been so long since I've updated...

I am 34.5 weeks pregnant with the sweet final addition to our family - Patrick calls him our exclamation point! His name will be Henry Joseph, and we are so excited about his arrival!

The kids are all doing well. All 3 of them are in swim lessons which they enjoy. Hunter is a natural swimmer, but Grace is pretty wussy in the water. She's not one for getting water on her face, but she's doing better.

Hunter goes to camp for a week on July 5th, then the next week after that we're going to the beach for a week. Hunter also is doing golf lessons like he did last year. He loves golf, and he's is actually very good at it.

Grace just finished her first season of soft ball. She did exceptionally well at school this year - she is incredibly bright and excels in math and reading. Hunter does well also, but he thinks school is important for social reasons rather than academic reasons. They both are really good kids.

Sean is just awesome. He's very verbal and talks endlessly. He's 22 months old already! Hard to believe that my baby is going to be a big brother in just a matter of weeks. He is super close to his daddy - they are inseparable.

I'll try to update when Henry makes his arrival. Hope everyone is doing well...

Just a quick update...

We're now 16 weeks pregnant! We had a bit of a spotting scare at 6 weeks and I was sure that history was repeating itself and I would miscarry, but luckily that was not the case. At our 12 week u/s it seemed pretty clear that we're having a BOY!! but we'll be double checking on Wednesday at our next ultrasound. Baby appears to be healthy, thank God. After having so much trouble TTC Sean, it's just amazing to me that here I am having baby #4!

Here's Baby at 12 weeks. :)

Katie [Dec. 25th, 2008|04:20 pm]
A long time ago, I posted about Patrick's niece who was diagnosed with malignant melanoma. Katie is now 24 years old and is rapidly losing her battle with the cancer. 2 weeks ago she was only given 1 week to live. She just wants to make it through Christmas before she leaves this Earth and moves up to her next journey. Our newspaper ran an article today about Katie - here it is:

Merry Christmas to all. We had a good one, surrounded by friends and family.

We had an u/s 2 days ago, and the baby measured perfectly at 7.5 weeks and had a beautiful beating heart. It's amazing how we struggled so much to conceive and carry Sean, and now that we weren't even trying we were just handed this gift. Thanks be to God.

Sean Patrick is 6 months old! [Mar. 18th, 2008|01:46 pm]

Sean is 6 months old already!! We simply adore this little man. The joy he brings into our lives is incredible. He sits up like a pro, and is starting to get up on his hands and knees. Won't be long before he's mobil! He likes oatmeal and fruit, and some veggies, but he's still mainly a boobie baby. He looks SO much like his daddy - I LOVE it!!

My computer at home isn't working so I don't get on line much anymore, but I wanted to update...

Here are some pictures of Grace's spider bite...

Day 1

Day 2

Day 3

Day 4

It's much better now - no more blisters.  It's just kind of dried up looking now.  She's been on antibiotics for a week now - today's the last day of those, thank goodness.
